The Home Depot Retool Your School program champions HBCUs’ vision for unity and purpose with campus grants, scholarships and career opportunities. For the 15th & 16th year, our mission was were to amplify awarness of the program's transformative impact and celebrate the initiatives happening throughout the year.  

To kick off the year with energy and purpose, we spotlighted the collective effort of students, faculty, and The Home Depot associates through documentary-style content captured during campus renovations, bringing visibility of the postive changes and building momentum for the next phase.

HBCU Pride in action

The creative included a featured story on Alcorn State University, highlighting their Campus Improvement Grant renovation of the Student Union. The refreshed space was designed to foster connection and student life. Our content captured the transformation to inspire future applicants and spotlight the on-going impact of Retool Your School.

ACTIVATIONS

Through on-site activations during Homecoming and sports events, we tapped into HBCU Culture and created experiences that uplifted school pride and tradition. Then, by blending new captured footage with archival moments, we created content for students and alumni engagement, developing a deeper connection to the Retool Your School program.

Experiential

For the Grant Reception's, we transformed Mercedes-Benz Stadium into a sophisticated celebration space for Retool Your School honorees. With thoughtfully designed interactive moments and elevated branding, we created an immersive experience that brought HBCUs together to celebrate their legacy. The event honored their achievements while capturing the essence of community, pride, and excellence at the heart of the program.

Home AWAY FROM HOME

At the start of the school year, we created social content to get students ready to make there dorm feel like a Home Away from Home. We partnered with Ebony Staten to show how  The Home Depot can help tranform your space.
